A real low and short no-spin serve can give you some easy points in matches, as they are difficult to flip hard, and they require good timing to push hard. Mix it up with a heavy backspin in the same spot. Remember to get it short, the ball should bounce short on your side close to the net...

 Yasaka X-tend

The New Spin Machine!

No speed glue is needed! Trough continues testing it has been possible to concentrate the "tension increase" on the spin factor. Until now , "tension rubber" concentrated on increasing spin and speed equally but with the Yasaka concept the "spin tension" increase by 2/3rd and the speed tension increased by 1/2.

XTEND does develop superior spin characteristics especially useful for the 40 mm ball.

  • Speed: 94
  • Spin: 89
  • Control: 78

 Yasaka X-Tend Review
Excellent Rubber!! Plenty of spin, good speed and GREAT sound. I use it on my forehand with Tibhar Rapid Dtechs on my backhand. The Rapid Dt has more control but the Xtend is more spinny with higher arcing loops and a little more pop.and it gives a louder, more satisfying, sweet sound when hitting hard. JJS

I have tried out Butterfly Bryce/FX, Yasaka Extend and Yasaka Mark V 30o on the Butterfly Schlager Carbon blade. With the Mark V reglued and the others not. I believe that these combos’s setups are very much of the same level of performance. With Bryce being expensive, Extend is in the middle and Mark V being the cheapest. If you’re a price conscious player and don’t like reglueing then Extend is a good option. Mark V is a little bit cheaper and is slower than Extend. To increase the speed of Mark V to match with the Extends you will have to use “speed glue” but then the total cost will go up. I find the spin on the Extend is not up to the level the manufacturer’s claim though. It is very much similar to the Mark V. TTApprentice

This rubber is very similar with F1. But I will rewrite My comment anyway. I think the spin is overstated in the adniversary (but it is still awesome though) but the speed is definitely more than 8.3 which is shown in the main yasaka rubber page. I admire the glue effect , it is awesome and overally it is a great rubber. For who doesn't use glue but like extra kick of speed and definitely high-spin , this rubber is the way to go. All-rounder
