A real low and short no-spin serve can give you some easy points in matches, as they are difficult to flip hard, and they require good timing to push hard. Mix it up with a heavy backspin in the same spot. Remember to get it short, the ball should bounce short on your side close to the net...

Comments:

This is a short pimpled rubber, with fairly wide pimples with a rough and hard surface. It is the latest pimpled rubber from DHS, and it can generate very high speed balls. Because of the unique design on the pimples structure, it supposedly produce some very deceptive balls when blocking against high spin loops.

In general short pimpled rubbers are particularly suitable high speed hitting and blocking. Because of the short pimples structure, you opponent's spin has much less effect on you compared to an inverted rubber.

User Reviews (from internet/newsgroups):

I had been using DHS Sharping until a few month ago,

but I am using now RITC 802-40.

DHS Sharping produce only a little amount of spin,

it is not suitable for looping play with pips-out, like Liu Guoliang.

But blocking opponent's looping ball with DHS Sharping,

this return will be the knuckle ball.

So if your playing style is  "blocking and smashing with pips-out,"

I recommand DHS Shaping to you.

But when your style is " looping with pips-out,"  I do not recommand it to you. T. Goto
