A real low and short no-spin serve can give you some easy points in matches, as they are difficult to flip hard, and they require good timing to push hard. Mix it up with a heavy backspin in the same spot. Remember to get it short, the ball should bounce short on your side close to the net...

 Globe 582 blade

A high quality, light weight 5-ply wooden blade with a professional inlay and a comfortable brownish colour flared handle. It has a nice and thick topsheet, the materials and finish is of high quality.

This blade is quite fast (probably OFF) and very well balanced. It's nice and springy and would offer plenty of power both close in and from mid - far distance (with appropriate choice of rubbers), but still offer very good control.

Don't be fooled by the cheap price tag, this is a very good blade and excellent value for money, it's cheap because it's made in China and relatively unknown. Click

 Globe 582 blade review:

It is a really lovely 5-ply all wood blade.  It has nice, thick topsheets with even grain on Iboth sides and a generously sized "real wood" handle.  The handle is not quite as big as the Dynasty series, but not "twiggy" at all.  The blade is quite thick - I measured it around 7mm.  The materials and finish are top-notch.

The blade is fairly light (84 gms I believe) and pretty fast.  It is well balanced, but a bit stiffer than I'm used to.  Compared to my Avalox 555, it is thicker, stiffer, and a bit lighter.  It is probably a bit faster too, but doesn't feel quite as "lively".  I found it superb for pushing, hitting and blocking, but a bit too stiff for my looping - given my current ability and strokes. This is an impressive blade.  You could tell me it was a bt555 or stiga offensive and I'd believe you.  It's got a really springy "boing" feel to it.   Very Swedish feel.  I was actually quite surprised.  I think this is supposed to be an avalox copy or something. Cole….

I thought it was very impressive.  A little faster than I prefer myself as I prefer to use slower blades and soft rubbers so I can glue heavy and stay off-.  But I thought it felt very springy myself...maybe not compared to an avalox though. Cole…

I'm not surprised you like the blade - the one I tried was a thing of beauty! Bes…

I just got the Globe 582 thing and its a korbel except prolly 1.5mm thicker, top notch quality the outerply is as good or better than the korbel and its very springy, for $21 its a steal. I also tried an 802-40 topsheet on my grey 2.2 couga sponges and its same topsheet as tsp spinpips I had a sheet of spinpips with me to compare to, on the couga sponge its one heck of a weapon you can loop like inverted with it and smash the hell out of the ball.
